“Gawley’s Gate” on the shores of Lough Neagh
Geata Mhic Amhlaí – Gawley’s Gate – townland of Feumore, Co. Antrim
By the shores of the loch where the five counties sweep,
The tranquil loch shore where some hap to meet
And other they had to move quick on there feet,
Where many a man was saved by the shore
And many a man was was quick on there retreat
From Arboe too south Derry many tail could be told
For many woman and man was saved by the water of the lovely loch shore,
Now Antrim and Down wash up on its shore where Armagh washes its lovely bright shore,
Gawley’s gate and the Toome its beauty we behold, so when passing by stop and admire the beauty Loch Shore.

I took this image a while back one evening while staying in the area with the view to paint it which I did.
Such a peaceful, beautiful location and happy to say it has now a forever home.
