Commission Morag Mc Cafferty

Make your memory a forever memory

A Commissioned Painting is a painting made specifically for you which I try to complete with as much emotion and accuracy as if it were for myself. It’s a piece of art that is extra special that you will have forever and indeed hopefully pass on for generations to come.

For example, I have been commissioned to paint “Oilean na Marbh” but asked to add  grandchildren playing on the beach and more lately I was asked by a young man to paint the place where he proposed to his now wfe which he gifted to her the night before their wedding, that was an emotional one and the full story is on my Art facebook page.

The rates for commission work are based on both size of the canvas and the complexity of the image itself to be painted. Drop me an email to enquire about pricing.

The Brief

Send Morag an image or an outline of what you are looking for in your commission ie. size, subject matter and include as many good quality reference photos as you can.

Timescale

Is this work a present for a special event? A custom painting is a unique gift for a loved one. Let us know special dates well in advance so there is plenty of time for the work to thoroughly dry before it is picked up or shipped.

Deposit

If the commission is an image that is only relevant to you, then a deposit is required. Landscape/sea images do not need deposits as they can be sold on if it is not the end result the buyer is looking for.

Final Review

You will be sent an image of the final painting or if you live locally asked to visit the Gallery to see the finished piece before purchase.
And finally…sit back and enjoy your custom made unique piece of art.

A Minute in Time

This image was taken by Marie of her brother and me when as a family, 2 years ago we visited the Scottish Island my father was raised on: Benbecula. As a child on holiday there, we would go to this beach often. Special, special memories and to me this painting is magical, tender and says more than words ever could.
