This is my earliest En Plein Air painting and I am very fond of it. Through the glorious afternoon, Reggie would walk up to me at my easel with the nicest cup of coffee and we would keep each other’s spirits up when we were losing hope! I didn’t know what to expect from Painting outdoors but I took so much away from it. Since doing this piece I have done a few more workshops at the Glebe, one very memorable one that Johnny Boyle ( huge fan here! ) hosted! The weather was shall I say temperamental to say the least and when I say my Easel was flying around, it is no word of a lie, there was more paint on myself and poor Johnny than in the tubes!! But the craic was good and I still have yet to finish the piece and I will, I’m stubborn like that 🙂 🙂
