I was so happy to host the Great Big Art Event in Caisleáin Óir in Annagry, The Great Big Art Event was an exhibition of the work of 10 up and coming artists, all differing greatly in style, so there was something for everyone.

We were delighted to welcome local art legend Johnny Boyle from Glenties who officially opened the event on the Friday evening, launching a weekend of art, music and craic.
The aim was to create an Art Experience accessible to everyone, an experience to enjoy and escape from every day life, and to give people the chance to purchase their very own unique piece of art. The ballroom was transformed and every available wall was covered in pictures, supplemented by easels, stands and tables. The place looked fabulous. Every Artist involved is unique to their gift and spend hours creating their art, from oils to watercolour… silk on batik to pop art and photographic art that takes a lot of patience, early/late shoots and a great eye. Everyone was relatively unknown so this was a wonderful platform to celebrate what they do.
Covid has taught us all what is important in life and to make the most of it and this is what we are doing. James, Michelle, Anita and their team are pulled out all the stops to make this weekend a success, their enthusiasm and kindness knew no bounds
